International Travel via Singapore

For most international travelers the easiest and most efficient way to get to Bintan Island is via Singapore.

Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal is a 10-minute taxi ride from Singapore’s Changi International Airport.

Bintan Island is then just a 50-minute ride on a high speed ferry catamaran.

Note: Maxi Taxis are available at Changi Airport to fit your luggage and bike box.

Given that Bintan Island is still an international trip, you will need to arrive at least 90-minute minimum prior to departure.

Transfer to and from Hotel

On arrival on Bintan Island, you are only a 10-minute comfortable coach ride (around 8km) to the race venue, Nirwana Gardens.

Most hotels will arrange for the transfers for you and your bike from the ferry terminal. Ensure you let your hotel know your ferry itinerary.

Beautiful Bintan

Direct Travel from Jakarta

More direct flights available

Jakarta (Soekarno Hatta) to Tanjung Pinang (kijang) by Sriwijaya Airlines, Lion Air, Batavia Air and Garuda Indonesia.

(Be sure to ask the airline about any additional costs for transferring your bike and any specific parking requirements)

On arrival at Tanjung Pinang, transfer from Raja Haji Fisibilillah (RHF) Airport to the race venue at Nirwana Gardens Resort, this takes 45-60minutes. Transport for yourself and your bike can be organised by your hotel or official travel agent.

Direct travel from Batam

To get from Batam, Indonesia to Bintan Resorts, visitors may take regular speed boat from Telaga Punggur, Batam to Tanjung Uban Ferry Terminal, followed by land transfer to Bintan Resorts.

2-way land transfer from Tanjung Uban to Bintan Resorts may be arranged with BRC Tours at a charge.

Land transfer from Hang Nadim Airport, Batam to Telaga Punggur, Batam may also be arranged.

International Travel from Australia

Low cost flights to Singapore are available with airlines such as  Scoot, Jetstar and Air Asia. Flights start as low as AUD$298 (Perth-Singapore return). International Travel from Johor Bahru, Malaysia

A direct ferry from Johor Bahru, Malaysia to Bintan Island is available.

It departs from the Zon – Stulang Laut International Ferry Terminal and arrives at Tanjung Pinang Sri Bintan Pura Ferry Terminal.
Duration: 165 minutes

On arrival in Tanjung Pinang, taxi transfer from Raja Haji Fisibilillah (RHF) Airport to the race venue at Nirwana Gardens takes around 45-60 minutes.

Passport validity and visas

International passports must be valid for at least six months from the date of arrival in Bintan, Indonesia.

A Visa-On-Arrival (VOA) for Indonesia is required for some nationalities. Please ensure that you have one full page available for the Indonesian Immigration Visa.
