2-Day Triathlon Training Camp

(Friday 1st) Saturday 2nd – Sunday 3rd August 2014

This camp is designed to help you prepare for MetaMan Bintan: Half-Iron and Full-Iron Distance triathlon.
The rationale for this camp is to give you the tools to maximize your performance come race day whether your goal is to complete the course or get podium places. It will give you the opportunity to boost your training mileage, experiment new race strategies, test the race course, and get personal attention and tips from experienced MetaSportcoaches.

Whether you are a first timer or a seasoned veteran, you will benefit from:

  • Familiarizing yourself with the race course
  • Boosting your endurance through high-quality bike mileage – no traffic light and little traffic
  • Building strength (due to the undulating terrain versus the flat Singapore roads)
  • Doing Brick sessions on actual race course
  • Learning tips, tricks and skills. Practicing transitions, swim entry / exits, bike gear selection and correct technique.


Saturday 7:00 Ferry from Singapore to Bintan
10:00 Swim Clinic- Coaching and tips for open water swimming, racing the Metaman course and transition set up – including entry and exit practice
10:30 Endurance Swim-Choice of 2k or 4k coached swim on the MetaMan course.
13:00 Bike Clinic- Coaching and tips for racing the MetaMan course – coping with the heat and the hills! First timer focus will include, selecting the right gears and puncture repair practice!
13:30 Endurance Brick- Choice of 40k/10k or 60k/15k Bike and Run bricks on the MetaMan Course. (The session is fully supported, with vehicles carrying hydration, nutrition and first aid.)
19:00 Q&A with Drinks- Re-hydrate before dinner at the Q&A session – Dino Bar Lobby.
Sunday 7:00 Endurance Bike- Choice of 90k or 130k- coached ride on the MetaMan Bike Course. (The session is fully supported, with vehicles carrying hydration, nutrition and first aid.)
13:00 Leisure Time- How about a recovery swim!
16:30 Ferry from Bintan to Singapore


The camp is all-inclusive* allowing you to focus on your training while we take care of the admin and logistics.

  • 1 night (twin-sharing**) at Nirwana Gardens or Nirwana Beach Club Cabannas, venue of MetaMan Bintan
  • Option to stay for 2 nights
  • Return ferry + bike transport (Singapore to Bintan)
  • Breakfast, lunches and dinner
  • Snacks and drinks whilst training
  • Return transfer from ferry to hotel
  • Training and clinics led by MetaSport coaches

If for any reason you are unable to attend the training camp the refund policy is:

- More than 30 days before camp starting date: 70% cash reimbursement
- 15 days before camp starting date: 50% cash reimbursement
- 14 days and less before camp starting date: no refund
- Kindly note that bookings are non-transferable
